Afternoon high tea at Ritz Carlton has always been very famous and popular among the ladies, as well as tourists. It is also rated one of the best English afternoon high tea in Singapore. Why wouldn’t I agree with this after my last visit there 2 weeks ago?
The afternoon high tea at Chihuly Lounge is really an indulgence, me and another friend of mine were totally impressed by how impeccable the service was, as well as the new menu for the afternoon tea.
The moment we sat down, i noticed there are 4 mini pots of Hediard jams (apricot, strawberry and orange). What could be a better luxury than having this to compliment the home-made scones?
Ladt year, it used to be just 12 pieces of dainty savouries and pastries, being presented in a 3-tiered tray stand at $36++.
I have no idea since when they changed their menu.
Now, it is called “The Bernardauf Tea” set at $39++, which consists of eight-course set with homa-made scones, savouries, patries and a dessert selection, accompanied with your choice of loose leaf teas.
You get to choose from a variety of gourmet teas. Tea is free-flow, and you can opt for another blend after finishing a pot. Alternatively, you can also opt for coffee, iced tea and hot chocolate. You can order any drink at any time, thus basically unlimited in our dictionary.
The staff were really attentive without being intrusive. They kept on checking if we need a refill, or if we can go ahead with the next course.
Let just take a look at the photos and you will understand why. I think i might have missed out the order of the food being served, but who cares right? :)
1st & 2nd Course: Passion Fruit iced tea with crackers served with XO chilli paste
3rd Course: Salmon wrapped in pastry (this varies accordingly)
6th Course: Mixed berries with whipped cream
7th Course: Mango sorbet with pistachio biscotti
